Victory & Reseda is an automotive blog/website aimed at practically everybody – enthusiasts, consumers, industry folks, fellow media colleagues and everyone in-between. This site features reviews of the latest automobiles, industry analysis, views on variations of the automobile lifestyle, a look back at the history of the automobile, related topics on sustainable transportation – including public transport issues. The primary goal of V&R is to provide mainly original content from our contributors – both written and photographic. If content is provided from other sources outside of V&R, they receive proper legal attribution.

The name Victory & Reseda is derived from the major intersection near where the site owner, editor and chief contributor, Randy Stern, grew up in Reseda, California. It is from that intersection where Randy was inspired by all of the topics on this site. The corner of Victory and Reseda Boulevards is where his love for all things transportation was born. Today, it serves as a virtual intersection of the automobile, its culture, the past, present and future of personal transportation.

Aside from Victory & Reseda, Randy’s automotive work also appears on Lavender magazine, the LGBT publication for the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Before that, his work appeared on other LGBT community-based online publications. Until October of 2011, Randy also wrote a blog about the game of baseball, called The Heirloom. As part of the MLBlogs network (by MLB Advanced Media), The Heirloom was one of the Top 100 Fan Blogs of 2008 and 2010. Randy had two chapbooks of poetry published by a local micro press – Autumnbridge Media.

In addition, Randy is very active in social media, using Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Flickr to support V&R as well as expressing his own views when appropriate. His social media experience began through developing a marketing campaign with a local Twin Cities choral ensemble, One Voice Mixed Chorus. The campaign included not only Facebook, Twitter and Flickr, but producing and editing viral videos with the chorus.

Randy is based in Robbinsdale, Minnesota – a suburb of Minneapolis.

Victory & Reseda offers content from other writers and photographers, internally known as the V&R Collective. These writers offer their time, observations and opinions for you to consider while reading this site. Currently, V&R has two regularly contributing writers: Robert Edwards from the Houston area and William Maley from the Detroit area. A MINI enthusiast and British car fan, Edwards writes on his own blog and contributes to Motorama LIVE on coverage based in Texas. As a raconteur of automotive industry opinion, Maley is one of the chat hosts for Motorama LIVE and his work is also published in Cheers & Gears, Autobytel.com, The Hooniverse and in his own blog.
