My Favorite All-American Machines

The rules are strict here – their final assembly must be solely done right here. That eliminates a lot of favorite cars, I am afraid. It also eliminates some of the best cars ever built because they were built elsewhere included in the USA.

The result is that it caught my attention. It was enough to be called one of my favorite vehicles of the V&R era. The reason for it was that each and every one of them – five in total – have given me a high level of satisfaction while putting them to the test.

2022 Mitsubishi Outlander for the “summer drive to the Midwest Automotive Media Association Summer Drive.” We had some time before I headed towards Chicago, so we made this video review on Mitsubishi’s newest entry in the compact-to-mid-size SUV space. 

Historiography: A Different Kind of Car Company

It would be easy to tell the story of Saturn as a corporate historiography. Yet, there is more about Saturn than just the foundation, the design and production of the company and its products. It is the cultural impact on how a company – albeit a part of General Motors – sought to connect its products, the way they sold them and the extraordinary consumer engagement that spurred on such immense brand loyalty amongst owners.

Commentary: Acts of Exclusion

Drilling down, the “legal definition” of the word “exclude” also provides two definitions. Again, one, “to prevent or restrict the entry or emission of…” And, two, “to remove from participation, consideration, or inclusion.”
