We’re tired of the restrictions, wearing masks, social distancing, not being able to see our family and friends, not being able to go out to eat or socialize…and, so forth.
First off, we have seen some interesting trends economically in this country. Automobile sales are down for the most part, but there seems to be some signs of life in sectors of it.
Why do you see a lot of "rallies" going on throughout the year? Each rally has a philanthropic element that make the event worthwhile to each participant.
It has been painful. So far, we survived six months’ worth of uncertainty and additional challenges to our soul and psyche. For a majority of us, coping and getting by are not working effectively as we hoped.
We met on a free stretch of road. One brought out a Ford with a flat-head V8 and all the modifications necessary for an argument. Another brought out a Chevrolet with one of those new fangled Small Blocks sticking out of the hood. You talked, but only to psyche out the competition. Then, both throttles were depressed sharply and away they went…onto an awaiting police car.
It has been a pattern that I have found when presented with opportunities to make inroads in a community. Prior to coming out, finding a community meant hanging out with a clique of your peers. Whether they become friends for life may determine whether they follow you on social media or not.
I took the time to review the first two bucket lists to see how much I progressed. Then, I pondered a bit to make a new one. Some of the old items remain – though I found that some have already been achieved.
